The design objective of this private three-bedroom residence located in a quiet neighborhood of Mesa Geitonia, was to create a secluded environment where the family activity will take place, protected from the exterior. The residence therefore takes an L-shaped form around the main patio area where the swimming pool is located. An “green boundary” line of existing cypresses encloses the patio on the south side, along with an external barbeque and bar area.
The building volume is designed with two main aspects: a strict, bold side comprising the external façade, providing privacy and protection from the north-western sun, and the more open southern side, looking towards the patio and blending the boundaries between the interior and the exterior.
