Housing has always been a fundamental human need, that covers many basic humans needs. Access to adequate living has only recently (2015) been recognized as a fundamental human right by the UN.

Social Housing is a social good in which alternative forms of collective coexistence can emerge without limiting the quality of life. As Lefebvre (1977) states, “to live means to participate in social life, in a community, village or city”. Therefore, a house cannot exist isolated from the world and the society, but should be associated and related with the public space
